The event we have all been waiting for is coming! The Acropolis Rally is just around the corner and we are all preparing for it! After its absence, it is definitely the event of the year, since for 10 days the heart of motor sports will beat in Greece.
The program of this year’s Acropolis Rally, as was announced through the organizing committee of Motorsport Greece and the Deputy Minister of Sports, is:
CRETE SEPTEMBER 3-4
The caravan of classic cars and motorcycles “road safety” in collaboration with E.O. Friends of Old Car and Motorcycle “road safety” starts on September 3 from Chania, passes through Rethymno, Agia Galini, Kokkino Pyrgo, Mires, Kalamaki, Archanes conveying a road safety message to the island that needs it so much. On September 4 in Heraklion port, a central event will be held with a crash test and the release of the injured, with the participation of all relevant bodies.
ZAPPIO SEPTEMBER 8
One day before the start of the EKO Rally Acropolis, on September 8, in the presence of FIA President Jean Todt, an event will take place in Zappeion, in which video messages of road safety of Olympians will be shown. At the same time, another simulation of collision and release of the injured will be performed.
ESPORTS SEPTEMBER 8
For the first time in Greece, the WRC The Official Game esports World Final will be organized on September 8 at the OAKA Olympic Cycling Track. In addition to entertainment, we focus on educating the new generation on road safety through interesting and effective methods such as e-sports. And of course with this initiative we “embrace” e-sports, for which we will make legislative regulations with our new sports bill!
SEPTEMBER 9-12 EKO ACROPOLIS RALLY
START AT THE ACROPOLIS – SUPER SPECIAL IN SYNTAGMATOS SQUARE COSMOTE 5G Athens Stage:
In the purely racing part, on Thursday, September 9, at 17:30, the Rally will start under the Sacred Rock of the Acropolis. Immediately after, the cars will race on the super route of Syntagma Square, a project that has no precedent in our country! At the same time, Syntagma Square will be transformed into a sponsor park and parc ferme for racing cars.
On Friday, September 10, our national race begins with the special routes Agioi Theodoroi and Loutraki. Through Thebes and Elatia the cars will end up in Lamia where the service park is located. That is where the heart of the fight will beat.
On Saturday, September 11, we will enjoy the passage of racing cars through special routes in Central Greece, such as Voxites and Pavliani.
On Sunday, September 12, the drivers will test their limits through the famous Tarzan special route, which will be the finish and the special awarding of the first three drivers. Immediately after, in the service park of Lamia, the closing ceremony and the awards will take place.
